About Coucou Cards

Coucou Cards began during the years I spent in France, where I discovered that the French are every bit as devoted to their pets—especially their dogs—as we are in the UK. What began as a hobby, creating personalised illustrated pet cards and art prints for family and friends, gradually blossomed into the small, business it is today.

During my time there, “Coucou” soon replaced “Bonjour” as the greeting my neighbours would call out as they passed by the house. When I asked about its meaning, they explained that it is an affectionate, informal salutation shared between good friends, its origins echoing the call of the cuckoo. That charming story became the inspiration behind the name of my studio.

Coucou Cards is now a small, specialised atelier dedicated to designing handmade, personalised cards for all occasions. Each piece is created to order, ensuring that no two cards are ever quite the same. With the option to personalise your greeting and the thoughtful design that allows every card to be transformed into an art print once the celebration has passed, you are gifting not just a card, but a keepsake to be treasured for years to come.
